  • Providing consultancy services on the costing studies, cost effectiveness analysis, health care financing analysis, economic evaluation, empowerment evaluation, performance evaluation, impact evaluation, political economy analysis, domestic resource mobilization/innovative financing mechanism in the health sector, capacity building of the monitoring and evaluation.
  • Since 2017, I have provided a wide range of technical advisory and consultancy activities at the Federal Ministry of Health as a health economist and continuously provided consultancy deliverables to University of California MINIMOD Project, international Decision Support Initiative (iDSI), UNAIDS Ethiopia, UNFPA Botswana, PATH Senegal, UNICEF Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO), UNICEF Ethiopia, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). Provided technical consultancy deliverables on the health financing strategy development, costing analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, impact evaluation, monitoring and evaluation, marketing analysis nutrition economic modelling, resource mapping/tracking, cost benefit analysis and political economy analysis.
  • Recently, I acquired great opportunity working for the African Union Member States at the Africa CDC Health Economics initiatives since September 2020 as a consultant with a specific of establishing health economics unit within Africa CDC as well as responsibilities to advise on COVID-19 vaccine HTA, conducting a laboratory return on investment study, conducting Health, Technology Assessment (HTA) on covid-19 airport screening, facilitation and support stakeholder engagement and partnership
  • A research fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville Campus, Economics Department, South Africa. Supervise post-graduate (Masters and PhD) students in the health economics research studies, actively involve in all academic preparations and planning activities as well as preparation of the manuscript and boosting the publication of health economics research studies.
  • Worked as a consultant on Nutrition applied economic tools and modelling approaches. To mention the few of the nutrition economics projects such as: cost of hunger study in Ethiopia, MINIMOD project (cost effectiveness analysis of different micronutrient intervention projects in Ethiopia for the University of California Davis (UC-Davis)), cost benefit analysis of wheat flour and edible oil (GAIN Ethiopia), Safe and Resilient Food Markets Program in Ethiopia (GAIN-Ethiopia), Political Economy Analysis of Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Policy Design, Coordination and Implementation in Ethiopia’ (Irish Aid-IDS PPA/ IDS), MAPS project (AAU, UC-Davis). Recently, a lead consultant on the economic and public health analysis of the double fortifications of salt with iodine and folic acid (DFS-IoFA) with the Nutrition International.
